Speaking of collections, here is a clever idea for displaying and enjoying yours. Vintage wood hangers! Ladies and Gentlemen Home came up with a rack for hanging their pant hangers.
You can hang pictures, fabrics, pants (why not?) and I like that you can always switch your display items out easily. I love seeing the natural wood, but you could always paint or stain the hangers as well. There are always vintage hangers on ebay. I cheated and found mine at IKEA. No one has to know…umm…right. Don’t tell anyone. : )
i wonder how you can hang up canvas paintings on the old hangers without the ends curling?
I supposed you could use two hangers or better yet, cut pieces of flat, thin, wood molding the length of the canvass, put one piece on th front and one piece in the back and then the hanger in the middle on top of everything! Could be quite cool especially if you paint the wood molding and the hanger to match.
What a great way to display wall hangings. It is amazing what people can do and really inexpensive.
