Feng Shui Design School

Feng suiWe’ve all heard of it, but do we really know what it means? The Sheffield School offers a course in Feng Shui Interior Design in addition to the Complete Interior Design and Wedding and Event Planning. According to the Sheffield School of design, Feng Shui is about de-cluttering and adhering to a minimalist overall appearance. Have you ever had a guest over and they say to you, “oh so you’re like a minimalist”? It doesn’t mean you’re totally practicing the principles of Feng Shui, but you have a clean, modern nest. If modern is not your thing, apparently Feng Shui is compatible with virtually any style of interior design. This is kind of a revelation to me personally. As I understand, the study of Feng Shui can be quite complicated, but you can apply a few simple principles for finding the optimal position for your bed. You might be surprised to know that you do not have to rotate your bed east, west or north, but you can create a comforting space to sleep in relationship to the bedroom door. Photo source
