I love the placement of individual lenses such that together they produce the spherical, floating shape. You can apply this same principal to create one yourself out of other materials. Remember these other lamp diy’s? Check them out for inspiration for how materials can come together for a new found function.

Xavier Veilhan’s show at Versailles was spectacular. I wish I could have seen it in person. Remember the facets motif trend?
Not to downplay Xavier’s work by any means, there is always a circular relationship in fine art, fashion, interior and furniture design. I particularly like his faceted men statues. Of his project, Xavier states, “This is a project that is dynamic, classical, open and universal, aiming to establish a new bond between visitors to the place and the spaces they come into contact with.”
