
I spotted these great outdoor showers on Apartment Therapy. Remember these from last summer? But what about building your own? Here’s one option from the DIY Network. If you’re not looking for a project and just want it now, this one is simple and it is only 49.99. It seems to me that you can get some pipes from the hardware store and make a really simple one yourself, but I’ve never tried. Maybe next year. Add that to the list of projects for now. Stay cool.

I get really excited about outdoor seating and I have been on the lookout for something unique and different. As a result, I’m also noticing a trend. I love these wood, custom built outdoor platforms. I love that they can function as sort of a couch or an outdoor bed. All you have to do is carry your cushions inside and bring them out when you want to use them. Which is also more appealing than having to wipe something every time you’re about to hang outdoors on it.
My husband and I are planning to build one of these in an L-shape (like a modern sectional couch) for the backyard of our mountain cabin. I cannot wait to share the result with you and to enjoy it. I think I will also provide a sort of coffee table and have two folding chairs serve as arm chairs, so the result would be
